Automated Pharmacy Refill System (APRS)

 
  • The centerpiece of our solution is the telephone (still the most highly preferred communications option) where callers enter prescription information over the telephone, then receive validation, order confirmation and pickup times. Orders can also be flagged for mail delivery.
 
  • Refill requests can be placed over the Internet for those customers who prefer to order from your web site. Options are also available for fax, email and TDD devices for hearing impaired customers.
 
  • Service can be kept flowing 24 hours a day. For example, many of our pharmacy installations draw on existing patient information systems that can become unavailable due to maintenance or other outages. Our high-availability option lets pharmacists continue refilling prescriptions and printing drug labels in downtime situations. When patient information systems become available, these interim orders are automatically recovered and synchronized. Our pharmacy clients find this single feature saves them weeks of otherwise wasted effort.
